At Rapidemic, we are committed to building the next generation of diagnostics for a healthier world. We’re honored to work with some of the most experienced organizations in global health, sharing our vision to make impactful advancements in diagnostics.
We are especially grateful to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for their trust and support. With their backing, we’re able to bring accessible STI diagnostics to regions where they are needed most, allowing us to make a meaningful difference in women’s health worldwide.
We’re also thrilled to announce our collaboration with Mohammed Majam and his team at Ezintsha in Johannesburg, South Africa. Together, we are advancing the development of a rapid, cost-effective molecular test for chlamydia and gonorrhea, designed specifically for primary care settings in South Africa. Our goal is to create a diagnostic test that accurately and affordably detects both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases in a quick, disposable format suited for low-resource environments.
Through this partnership, we’re conducting research on user preferences, usability, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our technology is well-suited for pharmacies and primary healthcare settings in South Africa. This collaboration is a crucial step toward making decentralized, accessible STI diagnostics a reality for women in hard-to-reach communities.
