GECCO Biotech & Rapidemic have been awarded a MIT R&D grant for their joint project Rapid-G for a total project worth 556 000€. The teams have bundles forces for the development of novel enzymes for to facilitate faster and more accurate decentralized molecular diagnostics. GECCO Biotech will contribute their extensive knowledge and in-house engineering pipeline, while the Rapidemic team will use their bioinformatic, protein engineering and excellent assay-development know-how to pursue the optimization of their assay using these novel co-developed enzymes.
